These wasps have a beautiful body-shape. There is another species like them that I have always liked because I was taught that they are "friendly" wasps and used to play with them as a child, but I don't know if what I call them is the right name. We always called them "dirt dobbers."
Anyway, I think it's cool when stinging insects are portrayed as beautiful, rather than mean-spirited nasty things like most people seem to think they are. That's awesome.
The flower is really pretty, too.
